UNICEF and Luisana Lopilato launch an online application with pregnancy information


UNICEF and model/actress Luisana Lopilato premiered “Baby Bublé’s Diary”, an online application  with information and tips for a healthy pregnancy. Using this this platform, Luisana – who’s expecting her first baby in August – will share her own experience with the online community and will promote a healthy pregnancy for women all over the world, through a pre-birth checkups, a healthy diet, and the timely vaccination among other recommendations. The goal of “Baby Bublé’s Diaty” is to generate awareness about the importance of healthy habits during the baby gestation. Eating habits, doctor’s appointments and illness prevention before, during, and after the pregnancy are essential for the mom and the newborn’s health.  Luisana’s experience is an invitation for pregnant women or women in a fertile age to feel supported and with the necessary information to go through this moment with all the support and peace of mind possible. “The pregnancy and being a mother are unique experiences, for which we’re not always prepared”, said Luisana. “This alliance with UNICEF is a unique opportunity to share my personal experience as a soon-to-be mom with other women, and make all the necessary information for a healthy pregnancy available to them”, she elaborated. Pregnant women have the right to receive at least 4 doctor checkups to monitor the mother’s health, the baby’s development, and prevent the risk of complications like premature birth. In Argentina, 8 out of every 100 babies are born before the 9th month: prematurity is partially avoidable, but if moms are ready, a lot of complications can be avoided. The “Baby Bublé’s Diary” platform is intended for social network dissemination: the more people share the contents, the more people it reaches, and the more chances the viralizing user has to win a iPad, Luisana’s cooking books, CDs from her husband Michael Bublé, garments from Luisana’s clothing line and autographed pictures, among other prized to be given away through the app. Luisana will make the platform known to her over 1.4 million Facebook followers, who will be able to comment and share the contents with family and friends.
